After a fresh, bubbly soak,
Hello all, I must say--first off, Happy May! We've May-de it to the fifth month of this year. I was getting rather worried for a moment there. ANYWHO, just wanted to say that I am laughably drunk (and at my job no less) XD No, but in all seriousness, I am in a safe place at my new job at a local hotel. I'm excited that this will lead into a lot of my other futute endevours as well. Let's see where the world takes us! I also watched Elvira: Mistress of Darkness earlier today, and I'm so glad I did.
NOW! Random intrusive thoughts out of the way, LET'S GET ON TO BUSINESS!!!
My friend, Jaylyn and I had a successful teamup debute in Fayetteville Comicon, NC this previous weekend. This served as his first ever and we had several sales! We are talking about having another booth there in October, but only time will tell...(I think it was a success though ;) ) I want to give a special shoutout to Kazdan R. Azahn of K.R.A.Z. Productions as well as Serge Usicov of Surgical Entertainment for helping promote the book to other con and festival goers (and in costume at that!) I can't wait to grow with these young men and watch us all succeed!
While unpresent, I'd like to mention: Travis Flinchum, Bea Noguera, and the dynamic duo of Reese & Angie Gardner for their participation in our upcoming live-action book trailer. We couldn't have done it without them. AAAAANNNNNDDD a very special thanks to the man, Terrence Whitmore of VSN Media Group for the CGI, music, and camera directing in this large @$$ project!
I know I don't make it easy on any of them and we truly couldn't do it without them!
On the writing side of things: I have made substantial progress on the 5 books I'm writing simultaneously, including the first female-narrated opening book of the Tah'leet Soldiers midquel (and I have a feeling they may be done sooner than expected!!!)
So I am absolutely amazed and blessed at the difference one month can make. A total of 3 physical book copies have sold including the "Fern," "Amethyst," and "Jared" copies respectively. Don't know what that means? Keep reading! So, since they're 36 (technically 35, but who cares?) characters in the book, I ironically had 36 physical copies remaining. These are the last of this bunch, and perhaps for quite some time. Regardless, each of the last 36 books had been given a name based on the character. Let me know who you got! I'm very excited to trace where all they go over time.
Sales are not my goal, of course they would help tremedously. BUT I have a true love--an innate lust for writing. This week for the first time in a while. Building to each of my worlds, all cradled within the same universe of my imagination. I CAN'T GET ENOUGH! I truly am excited to see where this takes me--all the while working on 2 movie scripts at the same time. Truly. I am blessed. I am so happy again. I love to create.
To God be the glory, forever and ever, AMEN!
