Now that the first book is well underway, some of you may be wondering what my plans are for future books. Will I write more novels--Yes! Will I create anymore different universes--HA! No. The universe within Rise of Tourniquet WAS the new world and the better option as these characters are based on ones from my drawings since I was a kid. In some cases, certain characters had been imagined when I was 7 years old and here I am 16 years later introducing them new to you!
Since this world is just beginning, it demands a lot and has hundreds of active stories I haven't even got around to telling yet. In fact, just a few days ago I had to take a step back and consider not only WHAT I wanted in a book, but WHEN the events were meant to occur. Initially it was meant to be a trilogy, then 5-8 books, now despite expenses, hopefully 20 total. I'll be creating stories across the entire timeline of this universe. So definitely expect more prequels, midquels, and sequels!
I also want my cover artists to be rising artists to showcase upcoming talent in multiple areas.
As for other universes, I doubt I CAN make anything new because of the time invested in this world alone. However, I will be helping some friends with their projects through Roseace Company when the time comes. Most likely, that wouldn't include a novel, but maybe coding a PC game, web-comics, and animation from the business side with corresponding merchandise.
So what happens next?
Because I had trashed many old book concepts, I have reconstructed the timeline after the first book. I am working on the new second book and segments and brainstorming of the new third book.
Old Series (All of these were cut) New Series (Current and Publishing)
Fool Moon Rise of Tourniquet
Fool Moon 2: The Harvesting of Evil Colliding Fires
Fool Moon 3: Blue Moon Fanning the Flames
Only Rise of Tourniquet stayed and everything else was cut. The DIRECT SEQUEL IS called DUSTY ROSE. That name came from a picture for a friend of mine who unfortunately passed, but apparently this same term was used in her family without my knowledge of it.
There is no dedication page in Rise of Tourniquet, BUT I dedicate it to those who believed but above all my dear friend, Edward Anthony Holcomb from our movie club and who wasn't able to finish it before his passing.
Dusty Rose will be dedicated to another friend of mine, Lynne Wiley Salamon. Even without a dedication page, all that matters is what's in the heart. They know and so do I.
Thanks for reading and see you all soon.
